What’s the process for getting to and from Wakaya Island?

Fiji Airways offers direct flights from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and various destinations in Australia and New Zealand to Fiji´s Nadi International Airport.

Upon landing in Nadi, our team will escort you through immigration and customs, to our private Cessna Caravan. The flight from Nadi to Wakaya is 35 minutes with breathtaking views of Fiji’s main island Viti Levu, the historic island of Ovalau, and the Koro Sea.

Are room rates per person or per room?

Pricing for all accommodations is per room, not per person.
Ex.) When you book a room that sleeps 4, the listed price covers up to 4 guests.

Is Wakaya kid-friendly?

Yes. Our resort is family-friendly for guests of all ages.

Are there nanny services available?

Yes. Please inquire with our front desk for more information.

Food & Drink

Are food and drink included while staying at the resort?

All meals, snacks, and standard alcoholic beverages are included. Premium alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.

Are there vegetarian meal options?

Yes! We can accommodate any dietary restrictions you may have.

Are all activities included for free?

At Wakaya, most of our activities are complimentary and included in your stay.
Exceptions include scuba diving, fishing charters, spa treatments, and private beach picnics.

Wakaya is so remote! Is there internet available?

Yes. Internet is available in all of our bures, villas, and public areas.

How does tipping work?

Tipping is not required but greatly appreciated if you’re exceptionally pleased with your stay.

Is there a dress code?

With the exception of our church services, we do not have a dress code.

If you wish to attend church, we kindly request you cover your shoulders and wear sulus or shorts covering the knees. Sunglasses and hats should also be removed.
